“The City of Sin” – Through the Shadows of Pleasure and Despair

Alex Anderson Sings About the Perils of Addiction

Swedish country singer-songwriter Alex Anderson delves deep into the dark side of human excesses in his new single “The City of Sin,” set for release on November 24th. With a haunting sound and a palpable rock influence reminiscent of the style of artists like Brantley Gilbert and Jason Aldean, the song takes you on a journey through the shadows of pleasure and despair.

The song was conceived during the isolating days of the COVID-19 pandemic, as the haunting acoustic guitar intro paved the way to channel one of Alex’s darkest lyrics to date, exploring the devastating path of addiction. Inspired by the artist’s personal experiences, the song is the beginning of a stylistic change in Alex’s lyrics, as he opens up to touch on darker, more intimate topics.

“The City of Sin” was co-written and co-produced by Alex Anderson and Petter Lithvall, who also mixed and mastered the track. Its powerful guitar solo and strong rock influences make the song a perfect example of Alex Anderson’s musical style, mixing the best of country and rock with his sincere songwriting voice.

Alex Anderson has released several singles after his 2016 debut album “On My Own.” In 2023, he teamed up with Rexius Records, ready to start a new chapter in his artistic life.

“The City of Sin” is the first of a trilogy of songs about the darker side of humanity. Don’t miss the poignant release of this country gem on November 24th.
