“7th Grade Kid” – A Life’s Journey

Schmitty’s New Captivating Song

American alternative hip-hop artist Schmitty opens up about his life struggles and the life-saving power of friendship in his new song “7th Grade Kid,” releasing on February 2nd. Echoing the sound of artists like blackbear, Lukas Graham, and Jeremy Zucker, this heartfelt anthem of resilience is bound to captivate listeners with its sincere lyrics.

“7th Grade Kid” reveals a new facet of Schmitty, touching on the hardship of some of the aspects of his life and the friends who helped him pull through. The lyrics describe experiences from his high school years, all the way through his college years in the US Coast Guard Academy, and finally arriving at his hopeful gratitude for the present.

The song was written by Schmitty and produced by IOF and Nico Koufakis, who also mixed and mastered the track. It shows Schmitty’s more human side, hoping to touch listeners who might be going through a difficult time, and reminding them that they too can get through it.

Schmitty’s music has always been a reflection of his positive personality, his songs have been the recipients of his hopes and dreams, his gratitude for life, and his ability to make the most out of every moment.

Schmitty has released several singles since his 2020 debut. In 2021, he signed with Rexius Records, as he continues to share his unique essence with the world.
