Formed in the countryside south of Stockholm’s suburbs, The Riggs are an unapologetic Swedish Punk band that channels an adventurous and rebellious free spirit. Inspired by bands like Green Day and The Offspring, The Riggs are not just a band, but the realization of a life-long dream.

In 2013, longtime friends Jimmy Gustafsson and Daniel Högberg brought their dream of forming a band to life in Gustafsson’s basement. Driven by their affection for action movies, they named their band after the character Martin Riggs from the Lethal Weapon series.

As years went by, “Martin Riggs” evolved into The Riggs, finding the perfect lineup in 2017 with the addition of drummer Mattias Malmqvist and guitarist Arvid Jansson. Together, they found the right chemistry to storm the live stage with their energetic, raw, and unforgettable performances.

The Riggs struck audiences with their exciting debut album “Midlife Crisis” in 2021. After teaming up with Gothenburg-based Rexius Records in 2023, they are gearing up to unleash more of their rebellious and unapologetic punk spirit onto the world.
