Swedish pop duo Maklo & Peter manages to approach serious topics and blend them with an uplifting and colorful energy. With sounds that can connect to the style of artists like Veronica Maggio and Dermot Kennedy, their songs have a way to open a window into the current state of their lives and create a connection to others.

Their lyrics, described by them as “always connected to our present mood”, deal with personal subjects such as relationships, sadness, anxiety, mental health and self-care, while maintaining an outgoing energy that allows them to lighten up the darkest shadows.

After meeting each other while preparing a music project for advertisement. Maklo and Peter’s synergy and success drove them to start creating their own music.

With a creative process that involves the constant exchange of music ideas and Maklo’s posterior production and recording, their lyrics become an organic part of their creations through mutual exchange.

Maklo & Peter signed with Gothenburg-based Rexius Records in 2022, continuing to grow artistically and enjoy their music.
