Blossoming into music
Canadian pop artist Phia creates a sound that blends the fire of youth and the wisdom of her heart. Influenced by a broad constellation of sounds that include artists like Imagine Dragons, Selena Gomez, Dove Cameron and Queen, her voice reflects her passion and love for music.
A precocious and innate musician, Phia describes her close connection to her craft by reminiscing on her childhood years. “I have been singing since I could talk”, “I first started writing lyrics when I was around 6”.
Within her first musical memories, she narrates a fun anecdote, “I wrote a terrible but funny song and performed it to my parents while strumming a guitar, that I didn’t know how to play. The song was called, ‘my daddy‘s the greatest but I love mommy more’.”
Phia’s musical talent was developed throughout the years by her experiences in singing contests and choir practices; as a songwriter, she would continue to create songs even in the most difficult moments of her life.
In 2022, Phia released her debut single “Stupid For You”, which reached over 50K streams in the first few months after its release, reaching the top 10 on iHeartRadio’s aBreak music chart as well. She also signed with Rexius Records, a step further in her path as a musician.
