Artist

Australian alt-indie rock artist LANES creates music that reflects his inner cosmos and his perspectives on the universe around him. Inspired by bands like Arctic Monkeys and Tame Impala, his creations are always fueled by a never ending thirst for growth and a deeply introspective creative process.

Nourished from the rich West Australian rock scene, he describes his initial contact with the scene and its deep effect on him, “it wasn’t until I went to my first local show that my friends were playing at that I got the bug to play and perform”.

“A lot of my lyrics these days are completely pulled from my subconscious”, LANES reveals, detailing part of his creative process, which gives “different scenarios and meanings” to his songs over time. A process that can start from sheer inspiration and be organically polished through his intuition.

LANES released his first singles in 2021 and his EP debut “Bloom” in 2022. In the same year, he signed with Rexius Records, continuing his artistic path.
