The music video for “Deplorable Dr Cream” premieres on May 29, alongside the single release. Inspired by the dark story of Victorian serial killer Dr Cream, the song explores a chilling historical figure known for murdering numerous women, many of them sex workers, using strychnine. A poison that caused an agonisingly slow death. Built around an original concept developed by the band, “Deplorable Dr Cream” combines theatrical rock drama with a strong narrative edge. The track features a commanding vocal performance from Charl Cronje, who also produced the song and played guitar, while Andy Murden’s drums and Michael Phillips’ bass drive the track’s rock opera intensity. The accompanying music video was filmed, storyboarded, and edited by Tom Holborn of Bone Idol Productions, bringing the song’s sinister Victorian atmosphere to life through a dramatic visual interpretation.
