About This Release
“Edge of the world” captures The background world at a tense, moody point between indie rock and alternative rock. An immediate opening, electric guitar, bass, piano and drums, and layered backing vocals build around a repeated chorus about losing control while refusing to let go. The supporting voices add depth without crowding the lead, while the final refrain, “make it worse before we make it right,” turns emotional collapse into a stubborn statement of resolve.
