Too Close To The Sun

Too Close To The Sun

Free Heart Releases “Too Close To The Sun” — A High-Flying Anthem of Modern Metal Recklessness

Finnish metal band Free Heart launches their next chapter with “Too Close To The Sun,” a bold and blistering hard rock single that kicks off their upcoming album on Rexius Records. Released on June 27, the track fuses classic NWOBHM influences with cinematic production and fiercely introspective lyrics.

Driven by galloping riffs, searing guitar solos, and vocals that soar with purpose, “Too Close To The Sun” captures the adrenaline-fueled thrill of defiance. Drawing on the myth of Icarus, the lyrics confront the danger of living on the edge—fast cars, risky choices, and the need to feel alive at all costs. It’s a modern metal anthem that embraces both chaos and control.

Formed in 2004 in Kemi, Finland, Free Heart has long channeled their industrial hometown’s grit and struggle into music that speaks to resilience and rebellion. With three albums behind them, they’ve built a cult following in the Scandinavian rock scene. Signing with Rexius Records in 2024 marks a new era—one that begins with fire.

Produced by Nico Koufakis and mastered by Ari Kotipelto, “Too Close To The Sun” is the start of something bigger. Four singles will lead up to a full album release, showcasing a band still burning with passion and precision.

Out June 27 via Rexius Records.
