The Burden of Violence

The Burden of Violence

Jazz Calls Home is the experimental pop project of Spanish Colombian artist Jazz Alvarado Segovia. On the full length Cut The Line she turns personal experience into electronic worlds where glitch textures, ambient layers, and bold synth work frame a voice that stays front and center. The music moves between intimate confession and widescreen intensity, pairing precise sound design with human warmth.

Across the tracklist she explores identity, loss, technological alienation, and the decision to reclaim the self. The palette nods to Björk, SOPHIE, and Arca while keeping a clear individual fingerprint, blending glitch pop, fluxwork, and experimental electronica into immersive, emotionally charged songs.

Pressed on 12 inch vinyl, The Burden of Violence gives these soundscapes a tangible home with dynamics that reward both quiet listening and big room volume. Since her debut in 2020, Jazz Calls Home has released EPs, albums, and several singles. After signing with Rexius Records in 2024, she continues to craft fearless, cathartic pop for listeners who seek depth, vulnerability, and courage.
