The Behaviour Unleashes Hypnotic Gothic Rock in New Single “MK Ultra”
Out August 15, 2025 via Rexius Records

Gothic mysticism meets analog grit in “MK Ultra,” the new single from The Behaviour, the solo project of veteran drummer and producer Marshall Kilpatric. Released via Rexius Records on August 15, 2025, the track marks the first chapter of a powerful new era, following the acclaim of his debut album A Sin Dance.

Driven by reverb-drenched guitars and a brooding sense of urgency, “MK Ultra” channels the primal edge of garage rock with the emotional density of post-grunge and slowcore. The song invites listeners into a dark, introspective space, where fuzz-drenched riffs and hypnotic pacing collide with themes of control, introspection, and spiritual awakening.

Der Baron M. Kilpatric, known for his time with Black Light Burns and Kylesa, brings decades of experience to the track’s analog-heavy production. With nods to bands like Queens of the Stone Age and The Black Angels, Kilpatric’s vision is one of shadow and catharsis — a raw, distorted pilgrimage through the subconscious.

Following features in HONK Magazine and The Joy of Violent Movement, The Behaviour’s upcoming releases continue his trajectory as one of the most emotionally and sonically compelling voices in alternative rock’s underground. “MK Ultra” sets the stage for a trilogy of singles leading to an EP this fall.

Listen to “MK Ultra” — a gothic anthem that pairs haunted introspection with hypnotic energy — and take your first steps into The Behaviour’s luminous abyss.
