Far Away
Norwegian rock outfit Abakas unveil “Far Away,” a classic/hard-rock single that channels 70s lineage into a modern, melodic push. Fuzzed guitars, MiniMoog textures, and a widescreen chorus turn raw emotion into a sing-it-back moment.
Recorded at Athletic Sound Studio in Halden, the track was produced by Thomas Heien, Martin Busvold, Christopher Haugan, and Dag Erik Johansen, mixed by Johansen, and mastered by Ola Sørensen. The lineup features Heien (bass, vocals), Busvold (guitars), Haugan (drums), and Edrian Esmeña on MiniMoog—an analogue touch that deepens the song’s classic DNA.
Lyrically, “Far Away” looks at distance, regret, and persistence—memories that refuse to fade, burdens carried “all the way home,” and the recognition that endings can still reveal a path forward. The band frames these themes with tight dynamics and hooks that feel both lived-in and immediate.
“Far Away” extends Abakas’ identity: classic and hard rock with atmospheric edges, built on craft and collective chemistry. It’s a resolute, riff-driven statement that fits seamlessly beside the band’s broader vision for 2025.
