STR33TLIGHT is a North Carolina-based punk artist whose music fuses deeply personal stories with a rebellious, optimistic spirit. Drawing inspiration from icons like Less Than Jake, Blink-182, and Zebrahead, his genre-defying style blends the energy of pop punk, the infectious brass hooks of ska punk, and electronic influences into a hybrid genre he calls “Neon Punk.”
A multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, STR33TLIGHT’s musical journey began in childhood. From learning trumpet in school to playing guitar in his church band, he discovered an early passion for music that grew into songwriting and performing. Over time, he transitioned from playing in small bands to developing his solo style, keeping his creative spark alive throughout the years.
His lyrics delve into themes of rebellion, love, and loss, weaving personal experiences with ideals for a better world. STR33TLIGHT sees anarchy as a tool to question narratives and embrace unity, showing that, in the real world, we are more alike and connected than divided.
