Johan Bylin
Bio
Singer-songwriter Johan Bylin blends heartfelt pop melodies with reflective lyricism, crafting songs that resonate with fans of artists like Patrik Isaksson, Lars Winnerbäck, Peter LeMarc, and Tomas Andersson Wij. His music carries a cinematic, honest tone that fits naturally in singer-songwriter and late-night Nordic indie playlists.
Born in India and raised in Gothenburg, now based in Örebro, Johan’s sound is rooted in a lifelong love for the piano and musical theater. His music balances softness and clarity with emotional depth, exploring themes of love, loss, faith, and introspection through warm vocals, polished arrangements, and melodies designed to linger.
His creative process often begins with the chorus, building each track around a strong melodic core. This strength is evident in songs like “On my own,” which has surpassed 113,000 streams, alongside fan favorites like “Ingen spegelbild” and “Det regnar i mitt hjärta,” as well as the albums Reflektioner and Holy Light. Writing in both Swedish and English, Johan bridges traditional Swedish songwriting with modern pop production.
A finalist in Svensktoppen nästa and winner of the Örebro-based competition Talangen, Johan continues to grow as an artist, connecting with listeners through each release. Following his 2025 signing with Rexius Records, he is preparing new singles, expanding his sound while staying true to his core: honest lyrics, timeless melodies, and music that resonates long after the final note.
