Sell Me Your Coat – Raw, Unfiltered, and Vibrant
An Ever-Evolving Sound in Emo Pop
Sell Me Your Coat is a Belgian emo pop band that blends electrifying energy with intimate lyricism. Inspired by bands like Blind Channel, Hot Milk, ONE OK ROCK, Point North, and Badflower, their infectious hooks and soaring vocals craft anthems that resonate with fans seeking emotional depth, introspection, and passion.
Formed by brothers Toby (vocals/guitar) and Liam Vanhaecht (drums), the band’s journey has been marked by constant evolution, shaping a sound that has continuously transformed along the way. Starting with a blend of pop punk and alternative rock, the band has gradually incorporated synth-driven textures, expanding their sonic palette while staying true to their emo pop roots.
Their lyrics have also evolved, initially influenced by David Bowie’s “cut-up technique” before shifting toward more personal topics. Their songs explore themes of inner struggles, mental health, past memories, and animal cruelty, bringing forth a cathartic experience for those who’ve felt lost, anxious, or defiant.
Since their formation in 2016, Sell Me Your Coat has released several singles and an EP. In 2024, the band signed with Rexius Records, marking an exciting new chapter in their journey. Together, they are ready to share more of their electrifying and intimate songs with the world.
