MakeUpYourMind is an Italian progressive rock project that fuses multiple genre influences with deep, thought-provoking narratives. Inspired by artists like TOOL and Joe Bonamassa, its sound blends immersive soundscapes, mesmerizing vocals, and soulful guitar solos, inviting listeners on a journey of reflection and discovery.

Behind MakeUpYourMind is Simone Marsilio, a multi-instrumentalist and philosophy PhD who channels his academic background into music. His compositions weave personal experiences and reflective musings, challenging listeners both emotionally and intellectually.

Growing up immersed in rock and classical music, Simone quickly started expanding his musical taste. Captivated by the technical mastery of Children of Bodom’s solos and the unique sound of bands like Muse, Deftones, and System of a Down, his artistic journey was forever changed by the discovery of David Maxim Micic’s BILO III, leading him to explore more progressive, instrumental, and fusion music.

Over the years, his musical interests broadened even further, delving into blues and the work of artists like Ariel Posen and Gary Clark Jr. His evolving creative vision shaped a genre-blending sound that effortlessly merges diverse styles to convey his deep thoughts and reflections.

Since his 2020 debut, MakeUpYourMind has released multiple singles and an EP. In 2024, the project signed with Rexius Records, marking a significant step in its journey. With an ever-evolving sound and a relentless drive for artistic exploration, MakeUpYourMind continues to create music that resonates with those drawn to sonic innovation and philosophical depth.
