EYEBAGS – Grunge Energy with Punk and Metal Roots

EYEBAGS deliver a furious blend of ’90s grunge rooted in the chaos of hardcore punk, with the ragged edge of crossover thrash; straight from the icy heart of Östersund, Sweden. Their sound is a sonic punch: tight, aggressive, and unrelenting, perfect for punk-thrash workout playlists and underground mosh pit anthems. With buzzsaw guitars, shouted vocals, and pounding basslines, their tracks channel the raw intensity of bands like Nirvana, early Metallica, and Cro-Mags.

Formed in a rural basement in Aspås, the trio: Alexander Köpsén (vocals/guitar), Jacob Hedström (drums), and Isak Thysélius (bass) started out with raw passion and no pretension. What began as late-night riff sessions has evolved into a relentless machine, sharpened by local gigs and the release of their debut album MENTAL OPERATION (2024), featuring explosive tracks like “BLOODRUSH” and “INSANE.”

Their lyrics pull from real-life experiences, often filtered through metaphor, capturing moments of tension, chaos, and inner turmoil. Their DIY ethos and unfiltered sound have earned them underground recognition and features in regional press, while shows with bands like Skitarg and 偏執症者 (Paranoid) have cemented their live presence.

Now signed to Rexius Records, EYEBAGS are gearing up for a new single and a 4-track EP in 2026. They play with the intensity of a band that lives for the stage, offering passion, aggression, and a damn good time.
