Emily Manuel – Reveries, Poetry and Echoes

Emily Manuel creates introspective indie pop with elements of art pop and chamber pop, weaving layered melodies, intricate instrumentation, and deeply expressive lyricism into immersive sonic landscapes. Fans of Sufjan Stevens, Adrienne Lenker, Matilda Mann, and Bon Iver may find a kindred spirit in her music, which lends itself to rainy-day reflections and late-night indie playlists.

Emily’s songs explore memory, fleeting moments, and the quiet beauty found in uncertainty. Influenced by literature and visual art, her poetic lyricism transforms personal reflections into evocative tapestries. Blending haunting piano lines, intricate string arrangements, and layered harmonies, she creates atmospheres that feel both intimate and expansive. Her 2023 EP Live Forever earned praise from Clout Magazine and Queen City Sounds, where Tom Murphy likened her work to early Tori Amos and late-’80s Kate Bush.

Currently based in Denver, Colorado, Emily signed with Rexius Records in 2024 and is preparing for the release of new music in 2026. As she continues refining her distinct sound, her upcoming singles promise to deepen her artistic exploration—offering listeners a space for reflection, unexpected joy, and quiet revelation.
