American metalcore duo Ark The Storm invites you to perceive things from a greater perspective. Influenced by bands like Periphery and Monuments, their music seeks to leave behind meaningful reflections on their listeners.
“We don’t write songs specifically about single experiences, but rather focus on big, life-altering and impactful concepts,” they confess, explaining the lyrical content of their music. “Our music is reflective of the collective human experience.”
“Ark the Storm to us means ‘getting through it.’ An Ark is a ship, and it’s used to navigate through anything life throws at you.” Their perspective has also allowed them to find a sense of positivity that they wish to share with others. “Ark the Storm is very literally telling people to use music to get through whatever they’re dealing with in life.”
The duo has also worked remotely for over a decade, developing their creative process along the way. “If one of us has an idea we lay it out and upload it to a shared drive, the members then build on that idea, (. . .) then we begin to strip parts away until we’re left with exactly what the song needs.”
Ark The Storm has released three EPs and several singles since their 2012 debut. In 2022 they signed with Rexius Records, aiming to continue their creative path.
