Alfred Krantz – Chasing Neon Dreams
An Authentic Emerging Voice in Swedish Americana
Alfred Krantz is a Swedish Americana artist who crafts music that deeply relates to the struggles of everyday life and the yearning for something greater. With a varied set of influences ranging from artists like Dwight Yoakam and Sam Riggs to Bruce Springsteen, his songs blend various genres to shape a unique sound.
Born into a family of musicians, Alfred grew up playing guitar alongside his father and siblings in the family act Krantz & Krantz. Performing country, ‘50s and ‘60s rock and roll, and blues rock, the band toured extensively across Sweden, even making their way to the US.
While the family act slowed down, Alfred’s passion for music only grew stronger. After recently turning 40, he decided to embark on a solo journey, channeling his life experiences, hopes, and dreams into songs that fuse elements of country, folk rock, and heartland rock.
Alfred’s lyrics delve into personal stories of love, longing, and the desire to escape middle-class monotony. His music captures a profound sensibility for the human journey and the struggles of the average man, blending expansive soundscapes with nostalgic tones and a modern edge.
Alfred Krantz released his debut single, “Sen du lämnade Härnösand,” in 2023. In 2024, he signed with Rexius Records, ready to continue sharing his story with the world.
